2008 World Interuniversity Games

The 2008 World Interuniversity Games were the 10th edition of the Games (organised by IFIUS, and were held in Budapest, Hungary, from October 6 to October 10, 2008.

Hosting

With Budapest as host city, 2008 marked the first time the Games took place outside Western Europe. Host university of 2008 was the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME).

Competitions

Teams participated in 7 different competitions (4 sports). For the first time the Basketball Women competition was held.
